Disinfect your home

When there is a sick relative in your family it is important to avoid the spread of the disease (ie. flu, common cold). Disinfecting the household, especially common objects and surfaces such as door handles, cutlery, glasses, remote controls, computer keyboards and everyting that is a subject of regular contact is one of the most important things to do for your health. Frequentand thorough cleaning during this period can prevent the disease from spreading and may help the healing process.

Here are some helpful tips:

Fill 1/3 part vinegar and 2/3 part water in a spray bottle and spray on bathroom and kitchen surfaces, then wipe thoroughly with a MicroUni cloth. A few drops of lemon juice can add a pleasant and fresh scent to the mixture. Finally wash the fiber cloth in a washing machine at 60°C.

Linen, bed sheets and towels should be washed in a hot program to eliminate any bacteria remaining inside the cloth fibers. If they are not washable above 60 degrees, use a disinfectant additive.

Make sure the air is always fresh in your home, so open the windows regularly. From time to time it is worth exposing the bedding to direct sunlight to refresh it and to stop any remaining bacteria from spreading.

You can disinfect toothbrushes by soaking them in chlorhexidine-containing mouthwash overnight.

Spraying a mixture of two teaspoons of tea tree oil and two glasses of water into the air can disinfect the air in your home and leave a pleasant scent.

The easiest way to disinfect your Ideal spongecloth or sponge is to dip it in the microwave or boiling water for a minute.
